A Message from our Kinship Caseworkers
Your commitment to care for children other than your own is both challenging and rewarding. Our
agency believes that placement in a Kinship home is the best choice for any child who comes into care.
Our commitment to you is to help you support the child’s physical, emotional and basic needs.
As Kinship Caseworkers, we will help you navigate through the available service opportunities in our
county. You may qualify for OWF (cash) assistance, medical coverage for the children in your care,
Title XX Child Care, the SNAP – food assistance program or child support. We can also answer your
questions regarding custody issues. In addition, we are available to assist with information and
referrals to other community services providers in our area.
As your advocates, we can support you through the sometimes difficult process of providing care for a
kinship child. By working together we will be able to determine what needs you and the child in your
care have in order to insure you are connected with the right services and programs. We encourage you
to be open and honest with your feelings, concerns and needs.
If you are interested in receiving assistance or would like more information regarding kinship care,
please contact us at 440-998-1811.
Sincerely,
Danielle Root & Jasmine Hopson
